Teak Wood
Teak is a type of hardwood known for its durability, beauty, and natural resistance to various environmental elements. Our teak timber comes from the Tectona grandis tree, which is harvested from Teak plantation in Java island, Indonesia. Teak is known for its exceptional durability and longevity. It has a relatively low shrinkage rate, less likely to warp, crack, or split. These combination of natural resistance, longevity, and aesthetic appeal make it a popular choice for high-quality, long-lasting furniture pieces.
Finishes
Treatment : Fine sanding
We apply multiple sanding treatments to furniture wood surface. Starting from 180-200 grit to remove visible roughness or imperfections of the wood surface, and progressively apply finer grits until the wood has a beautifully smooth surface
Color : Dark candy woodstain
We apply a sanding sealer to our furniture before painting or staining the wood surface. The purpose is to fill and seal the pores of the wood, creating a smoother and more even surface, allowing for a smoother final finish, and prevent moisture absorption.
Clear coat : Satin
Also called egg-shel this type of clear coat provides a silky smooth finish retains its pearl-like sheen when dry, reflects more light than matte and stands up well to washing

A simple flat teak wood bedside 3 drawers
A small chest of 3 drawers handcrafted of teak solid wood. Plain raised front side and simple flat left-right sides stand on the floor with four tapered legs. An elegant teak furniture accented by its natural unique wood grains that will bring a warm tropical aura on your bed side.
The chest handcrafted of plantation harvested teak wood into an elegant furniture piece. It features a modern flat solid wood board glued to the corner stiles. supported by four elegant legs that curved outward and tapered down to the floor.
Solid wood top
A solid wood board raised front in a bow shape enclosed the chest at the top side, decorated with traditional profile edges. Projected out on the front and sides, the board fastened to the top rails using a simple joinery method that allow solid wood movement.
Drawers
Three drawers stacked at the front side of the chest, each of them assembled with dovetail joinery and floating thin solid wood board base. The front side of the drawer curved in a similar shape to the top leaf, a solid brass knob pull fixed central.
No drawer runners used.
Back side
The back side of the chest enclosed by a solid wood flat panel floating inside plain frame. The frame fastened to the stiles and rails using screws.
We hand sanded the piece surface using several grits sandpaper, lacquered to seal the wood pores to minimize the moisture absorption. It finished with polyurethane protective coating spray.
