Reclaimed Wood
Our reclaimed teak id salvaged and repurposed from old houses, boats, bridges, and other structures that are being dismantled or renovated. It is supports environmental conservation by reducing deforestation and the impact on natural habitats. Salvaged properly, cleaned and treated to remove any potential contaminants or pests. The availability of reclaimed teak can vary, and it more expensive than other types of wood due to its quality and unique characteristics.
Finishes
Treatment : Fine sanding
We apply multiple sanding treatments to furniture wood surface. Starting from 180-200 grit to remove visible roughness or imperfections of the wood surface, and progressively apply finer grits until the wood has a beautifully smooth surface
Color : Tea brown woodstain
We apply a sanding sealer to our furniture before painting or staining the wood surface. The purpose is to fill and seal the pores of the wood, creating a smoother and more even surface, allowing for a smoother final finish, and prevent moisture absorption.
Clear coat : Glossy
Glossy clear coat reflect the most light, providing a bright sheen. This type of finish finishes prove durable and scrubbable, offering high resistance to moisture.

Mid Century buffet
Handmade of reclaimed wood from demolished old house, the Mokus buffet is a mid century style furniture piece that features simplicity. Solid wood top leaf and left-right side, 3 mm glass wooden framed doors at left and right and a shelf inside.
Dovetailed joints 3 drawers center using tandem drawer runners, wooden pulls. Simple legs crossed wood 2 beams left to right on top of 2 beams front to back. Floating 1 cm panel with 2 cm frame back side fastened with screws.
The buffet is a perfect choice for media cabinet. You can put the media player into the glass door compartment at the left and right side, and cd/dvd media into 3 drawers center. Thick solid wood top leaf, is perfect place to put you TV.

The piece is steel brushed to enhance the wood grains, hand sanded with various grit sandpaper to smoothen the wood surface. We apply glaze to the pieces to give antique effect to the finishing, stained with tea brown color. Finished with matte nitrocellulose lacquer to protect the wood and stain.
